I've started this project to focus on what I consider my greatest photographical weakness...portraits. I will be taking and posting at least 1 portrait per week for 2018. Please follow my journey as I strive to get better in one of my favorite hobbies.

Week 7 - April 7th, 2018
I'm back! Well, not exactly planned but I ended up taking some time off. However, I hope to get back at it and complete this project. This is my fiancee Gayle all dolled up with her trial wedding makeup. We were supposed to be doing engagement photos this weekend but a freak cold front rolled in and we pushed it back. However, Gayle soldiered on and posed in the freezing cold for me. XOXO

Week 6 - February 11th, 2018
Erica and Phillip's oldest was nice enough to pose for 15 seconds before he had to head home after attending his friends birthday party. You have to love that purple hair!
Week 5 - February 4th, 2018
Say hello to Erica and Phillip's daughter. Gotta love those eyes! Gayle was watching her for a few hours and she was nice enough to hold a pose for me for a few minutes before getting bored and moving on. Thanks for the help keeping her attention Gayle!

Thanks to Head Chef Buddy for posing for me after helping me and Gayle hang some decorative panels at Be More Pacific Filipino Bar and Restaurant. Go say hi to Buddy and have an excellent bite to eat!

Week 2 - January 14th, 2018
So....this is my portrait for the week of my baby girl Cassidy. However, I will try to make future shots more of people and not animals but it was a busy week.

Week 1 - January 7th, 2018
Week 1 is here and to kick things off, here is a self-portrait. Going forward, I'll try to stay behind the camera. In addition, I'll do my best to minimize the number of times I used the same subject. Part of this project is to get myself speaking to people outside of my small cadre and making new subjects feel comfortable in front of a camera.
